April 9, 2018
Vestry Members Present:

Adoption of Minutes from March 
  • Motion: Rev. Peter D’Angio
  • Motion carried 
Adoption of Consent Agenda

Old Business:
  • Mission from Vestry Retreat
    • Matt Swendiman presented a preliminary Vestry Mission Statement
      • There was discussion about the mission statement for the Vestry
      • Asked Matt to make a few changes, and present again at May’s Vestry meeting
    • Christi Bailey Presented a report on Committees and Commissions as a follow up to the Vestry Retreat
      • Discussion ensued around defining commissions and committees
      • A committee will be formed to re-assess Article 8 and present a new bylaw amendment
        • Committee will consist of Katie, Shannon, Matt, Tony, and Peter
      • A few other changes were made to Christi’s report.  She is changing and will submit to the Committee/Commission chair persons
New Business:
  • Physical Resources presented by Brandon Gabbard
    • Roof repair is finished and waiting for dry weather to fix the sanctuary 
    • New signage presented for the parking lot
    • Putting windows in glass doors of classrooms was brought up  
      • Brandon is researching and will come back with more options
  • Courtyard update from Tony Powell
    • Concerns about walkway for disabled parishioners and visitors has been addressed
  • Save the Date May 20th the Bishop is coming to Trinity
  • Safeguarding Children training schedules presented by Christi Bailey
    • CASA offers a free training that is 2 hours
    • Barb Hollar mentioned that The Episcopal Church also offers a similar class that is mandated for teachers and leadership to take
      • Barb will be scheduling this training with all appropriate groups
      • Vestry will be trained on June 11th at 5:30pm
      • Barb will also lead a class for Vacation Bible School
  • Shannon mentioned Garden Mart/Sprouts and Stouts on May 11th and 12th
