Vestry Members Present:

Adoption of Minutes from September
  • Motion: Christi Bailey

Adoption of Consent Agenda

  • Motion: Tony Powell
  • Motion carried 
Old Business:
  • Update of Capital Campaign Information 
    • There was discussion about making a decision between the two consultants from whom we’ve received proposals for the Feasibility Study of a Capital Campaign
      • Kirby-Smith Associates
      • Andi Tillman of TriUnity Consulting
      • Both proposals were discussed at length, along with the questions that both representatives answered
    • Nancy Grayson moves to pick the vendor to hire for the Feasibility Study of a Capital Campaign
      • Vestry Voted between Kirby-Smith and TriUnity Consulting
      • In a 7-2 vote, TriUnity Consulting (Andi Tillman) will be hired to conduct the Feasibility Study 
    • Peter will contact both firms and inform them of the decision.  He will also confirm next steps with Andi.
  • Vestry Election Update
    • We need 5 people to run to keep 12 people on the Vestry
  • Courtyard Update
    • Planting is the weekend of the 13th
    • Hoping to complete the project by the end of October
    • Dedication will be October 28th
New Business:
  • Initial Review and Discussion of 2019 Operating Budget
    • Garry Gabbard and Matt Swendiman presented the initial review of the budget
    • 5 parishioners have left in 2018
    • 12 new giving units in 2018
    • Finance is going to review the budget again, and make adjustments after the Stewardship campaign ends at the end of October
  • Bonnie Lucas Memorial Gift discussion
    • The Vestry suggestion a few options to present to the Lucas family 
  • Moved: Matt Swendiman
