Pet blessing and in gathering of pet food

On Saturday, October 10th at 9:00 a.m. to celebrate St. Francis Day, we are again having a pet blessing.  You are invited to bring your pet to the small parking lot to be blessed. We do ask that you restrain your pet.

If your pet does not travel well, you too are invited to this event.  Bring a photograph of your pet so that he/she can receive a vicarious pet blessing.

I believe every creature is important. The love we give to a pet, and receive from a pet, can draw us more deeply into the larger circle of life, into the wonder of our common relationship to our Creator.

- Kevin E. Mackin, O.F.M., is a Franciscan of the Holy Name Province.

To ensure that older residents in Boone, Kenton, Campbell & Grant counties can enjoy the companionship of their pets Senior Services of Northern Kentucky began the “Animeals on Wheels” program which provides donated pet food to pet companions in the Northern Kentucky Community.

To support this Northern Kentucky Senior Services project, we are asking everyone to bring a donation of dog and cat food to church on Sunday, October 4th and on Sunday, October11th.

Please be generous.  Thank you.

Dr. Kay Collier-McLaughlin special guest speaker at 9/20 Adult Forum

Dr. Kay Collier-McLaughlin, the Deployment Officer for our diocese, will speak after the 10 o'clock service this Sunday, September 20th, at the Adult Forum in the May Room. As the Bishop's  deployment officer, she is the person who assists parishes as they move through staffing changes, including the discernment process leading up to the calling of a new rector.

For her visit this Sunday, she will focus on the upcoming time of transition at Trinity. What should we expect to happen after the Penningtons leave in February? What should be done in the time leading up to their departure?
