This winter, Trinity Church is proud to offer Faith and Sexuality, a comprehensive sexual education program designed for youth in grades 7-12. Based on These Are our Bodies, a curriculum developed by Church Publishing, our program will be rooted in Anglican theology and ethics, especially our belief that we are all loved and made in the image of God. Faith and Sexuality will be held during regular EYC meetings on five successive Sunday nights beginning on February 2, 2020 from 5:30 until 8:00 PM.
Discussion topics will include love and relationships, body image, Christian values and decision-making, sexual harassment and consent, pornography, and what it means to be made in the image of God. Because we believe parents and other caregivers should be the primary sexuality educators, they will have an integral part in this program and will be invited to participate both at church and at home.
Middle School (grades 7&8) and High School (grades 9-12) will be in their own groups with their own facilitators. Please invite your friends!
Registration is due by January 10, 2020. Please register as early as possible to ensure we have enough materials.
Program fee: $40 (includes participant and parent resource books, supplies, and food for the 5-week program). As always, do not let money keep you from participating. Please pay what you are able or contact Shannon Gemeinhardt for assistance.
The vestry will be meeting this Monday November 11th, 2019. Vestry meetings are open to all in the parish. The agenda for the next meeting is as follows:
7:00 PM - Start Time (delayed 30 mins from normal due to another meeting precediing the vestry meeting)

An Advent Retreat for Young Adults
December 19-21, 2019
The Cathedral Domain
The fifth annual Solstice retreat will be held at on December 19-21, 2019 at the Cathedral Domain in Irvine, KY. All young adults aged 18-24 are invited to leave their exams, work schedules, and shopping lists at the foot of the Mountain and join friends old and new for a time of fellowship, reflection, and worship as we prepare for the coming of the Christ child.
Solstice is neither summer camp nor Happening. It's a lightly-programed, self-directed retreat designed to provide young adults the opportunity to experience the sacred in the midst of the chaotic holiday season. Participants are invited to sleep late, join a yoga class, read a book, go for a hike, prepare a meal, attend a guided meditation, and gather with friends around a fire. This retreat is for you.
The cost is $75 but participants are invited to pay what they can.
Solstice is sponsored by the diocesan Young Adult Commission and St. Augustine’s Chapel.
