At the next Faith Friday, Trinity Church welcomes Allison Duvall for a discussion about the work of Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM) and the Episcopal Church's response to our national immigration policy. The evening begins with a special dinner provided by the Chef Lo fellowship. Following the program there will be an opportunity to meet Allison at a casual reception.

Allison Duvall serves as the Manager for Church Relations and Engagement for EMM, the refugee resettlement service of the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society. She is responsible for supporting the community engagement programs of 30 local resettlement partners, as well as equipping Episcopalians across the country to engage in this ministry of welcome.

Allison currently lives in Lexington, KY with her husband, Clay, and is a longtime member of Christ Church Cathedral.

Outreach Meeting Tuesday

The next Outreach meeting will be held this Tuesday, 10/23, at 7pm at Trinity in the classroom at the top of the stairs. All are invited and welcome to attend.

Volunteer Opportunity - Lincoln Grant Scholar House

Lincoln Grant Scholar House is kicking off a new program for their residents called Wednesday Workshops.  The workshops are designed to be a time to engage the entire community of Lincoln Grant.  Not only will the adult residents be receiving vital life skills through programming they will also develop tangible skills such as learning to sew.

As part of our ongoing partnership with LGSH, Trinity Outreach has chosen dates this fall in which we will be responsible for providing the meal in advance of a sewing workshop series taught by Betty Mitchell.  We are looking for volunteers to prepare and serve food on the evenings October 24 and December 12.  It is expected that there will be around 25-30 in attendance with the meal being served from 5:30-6:30.  All expenses will be reimbursed by Outreach.

If you are interested and able to help with this, or have any questions, please contact Marsha Dewitt or Greg Gemeinhardt.
