The next meeting of Trinity’s Outreach Committee is this Tuesday, 8/28 at 7pm at Trinity. All are welcome to attend.

The final luncheon concert of this season is tomorrow featuring the Early Music group Les Fleurs de Lys. Performers are Jennifer Jill Araya, Soprano and Violoncellist; Richard Arnest, Flutist and Early Woodwinds; and William Willits, Guitarist, Lutenist, and Theorboist. If you have always wondered what a theorbo is, don’t miss your chance to hear and see one. Lunch is available in the May Room from 11:30 am for $7.00. The concert is held in the church beginning at 12:15 pm and is free of charge.

Faith Friday

Hi all,

I want to invite you to the last Faith Friday of the year—and my last Faith Friday at Trinity. We will be meeting in the May Room at 7 to eat and discuss liturgy in our daily lives. I’ll be grilling chicken and burgers before you get there so that we can eat at 7. Let me know by Thursday if you’re interested in coming and can bring a side dish (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). We will be having the post-event at The Globe. Thanks to all who have come out this year. It’s been a really fun event I think. Jazz night, beer and hymns, chili cook-off, and fish-fry come to mind as some of the highlights.

Lincoln Grant Scholarship House Tour – April 22nd

Michelle Baker, Director at Lincoln Grant Scholar House, has invited Trinity Parishioners to visit and tour their facility this coming Sunday, April 21st, at 12:45.  Shelly with one of her residents, Cindi, presented a TED talk at Trinity in January and participants expressed considerable interest in learning more about Lincoln Grant and in supporting the great work being done there.  LGSH provides low cost housing and life skills support/training for single parent families in which the parent is actively pursuing a post high school degree.  It is located at 824 Greenup in the old LG Highschool; just a few blocks away from Trinity.  There is ample parking on the street.  Please join us Sunday, April 22, after TED, to learn more about the Scholar House and explore ways Trinity can be involved in supporting their success.
