11/7 - Evensong on All Saints’ Sunday
The Trinity Choir will sing its first Evensong since March 2020 this Sunday, November 7 at 5:00 p.m. The anthem, “Sing Me to Heaven” by Daniel Gawthrop was given to the Trinity music library in memory of longtime chorister Andrew Piaskowy (1949-2019) by the Trinity Choir. Andrew was the architect for the renovations to the Trinity building in 1993 and 1998, which we enjoy today.
The canticles are the Mt. St. Alban service by David Hogan, written for the completion of Washington National Cathedral in 1989. The organ prelude and postlude are the Adagio and Final from Louis Vierne’s Third Symphony for Organ. A reception in the May Room follows this meditative service. (The service lasts less than an hour.)
