Statement about Protests and Racism

Trinity Episcopal Church in Covington, Kentucky stands with the peaceful protesters throughout the country, as they exercise their conscience and their First Amendment right to free speech.  We decry President Trump’s use of religious settings, both at Washington D.C.’s Saint John’s Episcopal Church and the Roman Catholic Saint John Paul II National Shrine for seemingly purely political purposes.  We pledge to do our part to dismantle systemic and individual racism through action and dialogue.  We continue to pray for our country and our leaders that we may find a peaceful way through this crisis.

The Rev. Peter D’Angio, Rector
