DioLex Announces Two New Calls
With great gladness, we announce two new calls in our diocese. The Rev. Amy Chambers Cortright has been called as Canon to the Ordinary in the Diocese of Lexington. Amy is a native of Washington, D.C., and comes to us from the diocesan staff of the Diocese of Texas where she was the Missioner for Congregational Vitality. Prior to her time in Texas, she served as rector of St. John’s in St. Louis, MO, and before that, as vicar at Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis. She is a graduate of General Theological Seminary and Mount Holyoke College. Amy is married to The Rev. Joseph Chambers, who has been appointed rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, Danville. Joe is a native of the St. Louis, MO area, and attended General Theological Seminary along with his wife, Amy. After seminary, Joe served as Chaplain of the University of Missouri, Columbia, followed by an appointment as Chaplain of Washington University, St. Louis. Most recently, he has served as Canon to the Ordinary in the Diocese of Missouri, and as Chief of Staff for the Diocese of Texas. They have a son, Day, and a daughter, Molly. We will be welcoming them both in October.
