Evensong: Feb. 25

The next Evensong takes place on Sunday, February 25 at 5:00 p.m.

Officiant is Mr. Brandon Long. The Trinity Choir sings William Byrd’s (1543-1623) Second Service, Pilgrims’ Hymn by Stephen Paulus (1949-2014), and A Prayer for the Evening by Michael Sitton (b. 1958). The organ prelude is one of Dieterich Buxtehude’s (ca. 1637-1707) major chorale fantasias Magnificat Primi Toni. The closing voluntary is Johann Sebastian Bach’s only organ piece in six voices (double pedal) Aus tiefer Not schrei ich zu dir, BWV 686.
