Midday Musical Menu: Feb. 19
Three College-Conservatory of Music organ students will perform on the February luncheon concert on Wednesday, February 19 at 12:15 p.m., each for the first time. All three are organ students of Dr. Michael Unger, who performed the third recital in the Fall Organ Festival on December 2.
Talented freshman Daniel Wicks is from Colorado Springs and had his first organ lessons from his father. Daniel will perform Herbert Howell’s Master Tallis’s Testament.
Christie Lee is a second year doctoral student and serves as Organ Scholar at Covenant-First Presbyterian Church in downtown Cincinnati. Originally from Hong Kong, Christie received a Master of Music in Organ Performance (2020) from Texas Christian University and Master of Arts in Music from the Hong Kong Baptist University (2017). She completed her Bachelor of Education majoring in Music and Postgraduate Diploma in English studies in Hong Kong.
Ningjing Wu was born 01/21/1994 in China. She has a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in organ performance from the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Como in Italy. She is currently in the first year of the DMA organ program. She is organist at the Church of Redeemer in Hyde Park. Ningjing will perform the first movement of Organ Sonata No. 6 by Felix Mendelssohn.
Lunch is available from 11:30 a.m. for $7.00 in the May Room. The concert is free.
