• Theme: Circus “Come One Come All”  

Lincoln Grant Scholar House is hosting this event for their residents on August 12, and we have an opportunity to participate. As many of you know, the Greenup Street facility provides housing for single-parent families while the parent is enrolled in post-secondary education and training. Since their first year of operation, Trinity has partnered with many of their efforts. We have provided meals for their Wednesday Workshops, taught classes in sewing, donated books, provided supplies for workshops, and sponsored a few families with such things as furniture and household items. Most of those original families have graduated, with new ones moving in periodically. There are 40 families, which means there can be as many as 100 youngsters at any given time. Back to school is expensive, as you are aware, so if you wish to contribute in some way, following is a list of suggestions from Karis Hawkins who is the director. Please return the items on or before Sunday, August 5th so that the delivery can be made in time for the celebration.

For Preschool through High School:

• Underwear

• Socks

• Facial Tissues

• Small bottles of Hand Sanitizer

• Toothbrushes and Toothpaste

• Shampoo and Conditioner

 For Adult Scholars:

• Wall-sized White Marker Boards

• Erasers, Markers for white boards

• Small Planners with Colorful Covers

• Zippered Binders (professional looking) 

• Pens

• $20 to $50 gift cards to Target or Kroger

• Household Paper Products

• Baby Wipes
