i want you to run for vestry.png

How time flies. It is once again time for members of Trinity to prayerfully consider serving on the Vestry or as Deputies at the Diocesan Convention. There is always work to be done at Trinity and the Vestry is an important part of this work. The three year term begins in January 2022.

Candidate Introduction speeches to take place November 14, 2021.

Vestry and Deputy Elections to be held November 21, 2021.

The election results will be announced at the Annual Parish Meeting following the 10 AM service on November 21st.

If you have questions please ask any member of the outgoing Vestry class. Those members are Dennis Blom, Josh Mitchell, Gina Russ and Jim Swearingen.

These are our three nominees for the upcoming Vestry:

Elise Hyder

18 years ago, when I first stepped through the doors of Trinity Episcopal Church, I could have never imagined how special and important this loving and kind faith community would be to my family and me. The pandemic has deepened my appreciation for being in community, and Trinity has been my anchor through this difficult time. I am excited about the possibilities of developing our civic ministry in Covington, and I feel that my 25 years of community building and nonprofit management experience will bring a helpful perspective to the work that Christ is calling for us to do. I am a professional fundraiser, and serve as the Senior Development Officer for Beech Acres Parenting Center and as a board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Greater Cincinnati. I would be honored to once again serve on Vestry.

Chris Kelley

Chris has previously served on the Vestry and has also served as Trinity’s Senior Warden.

Matt Swendiman

My name is Matt Swendiman, and my family (Jen, Charlie and Maggie) and I are residents of Park Hills, KY and have been members of Trinity for many years. I am the chair of the Trinity Finance Commission, and have previously served as a member of the Vestry. I enjoyed my prior time on the Vestry, and I hope that I can continue to use my financial and legal background to be of service to the parish. Thank you for the opportunity to serve.
