Stations of the Resurrection: Apr. 1-May 9
This Easter season we continue to use the exterior of our building for evangelism. Last year, for Lent we displayed “Stations of the Cross.” This year at Easter, we will put up “Stations of the Resurrection” which will be up for your meditation through Ascension Day (May 9). These fourteen images chronicle the disciples’ encounters with the risen Christ.
Scott Erickson who created these images says “The premise for these station meditations is that resurrection changes the way we see everything. The world may not have changed the morning Jesus was resurrected, but Jesus changed. Then his resurrection encounters with his followers irrevocably changed them and changed their communities, and that changed the world.”
By displaying these on the façade of our building facing Fourth Street, we hope that passersby will either have their faith strengthened, or be drawn to the faith. To help with this, each image has a QR code that explains what the station represents.
