Welcome Rev. Jason Leo

Fr. Jason begins on Sunday, June 2 as Trinity’s interim rector. Fr. Jason and his wife, Jeannie have been married for 33 years and currently live in Eden Park. They have 3 children: Bailey is 27. She is an attorney in Cincinnati. Ben is 24 and is in a PHD program in political science at the University of Kentucky, Lexington. Jesse is 13 and starts 9th grade this fall at Roger Bacon High School. Jeannie works at Nativity School in Pleasant Ridge as a teacher’s aide.

Fr. Jason was ordained in 1992 in San Antonio, TX and served 2 years at St. George’s Church in San Antonio. From 1994 to 1998 he was director of youth ministries and summer camping in the Diocese of Southern Ohio. From 1998 to 2000 he was priest in charge at Trinity Church in London, OH. Years 2000 to 2015 he was rector of Calvary Church, Cincinnati and also served simultaneously as interim rector at Church of the Advent in Cincinnati for 1 year during this time period. From 2015 to 2020 he was Canon for Transitions and congregational development in the Diocese of Southern Ohio.

From June 2021 to August 2022, he was interim Dean at Christ Church Cathedral, Cincinnati. From Sept 2021 to July 2022, He was Provost of Trinity Cathedral, Miami, FL. He retired from active ministry on July 1, 2022 and currently serves as a chaplain at Cincinnati Children’s hospital.

His hobbies include music, travel, Cincinnati sports (all college and professional), NASCAR, riding his motorcycle, and time with family. Jason and his family live around the corner from the Cincinnati Art Museum and his favorite restaurant, Skyline Chili.

Fr. Jason looks forward to serving with Trinity Church and discovering all that God is up to in this corner of the kingdom.
