Outreach Partners

Attending to the needs of those in our community and around the world.

Community Dinner

Members of Trinity, on the third Saturday of each month, prepare and serve a meal to those who are hungry. This ministry currently takes place at First Christian Church on 5th Street in Covington. Due to its pending closure, the Commission, along with other church partners, is seeking an alternative location to continue this valuable ministry.

KRM/Refugee Family

A very dedicated small group of Trinity parishioners welcomed a family from the Congo in Africa two years ago and have taught them the essentials such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, grocery shopping and how to get around town. Several members of the family have recently gotten jobs and are assisting with the family income.

Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky

Trinity has had a long-standing relationship with the Children’s Home, including being one of its founders. For more information, click the logo.

St. Mary’s, Middlesboro, KY

For over 20 years, St. Mary’s Middlesboro has been the designated sister parish to Trinity. Each year they partner with local organizations and companies to gather clothing, coats and non-perishable foods to distribute to needy families in Bell County known as the “Box Project”. The Outreach Commission contributes a monetary donation to assist in these efforts.

Flying Pig Grunts

For several years Trinity parishioners, their family and friends have woken up before sunrise to serve water and Gatorade to participants of the Flying Pig Marathon. Sometimes braving inclement weather.

Courtyard Ministry

One of the largest supported ministries of the Outreach Commission, nutritious food bags are assembled and put in refrigerators in the courtyard along with bottled water to feed the hungry in our local community. Food bags are also available in several locations throughout the church to distribute when the courtyard is not open and someone in need is looking for something to eat.

Lincoln Grant Scholar House

Trinity has supported LGSH for many years by providing sewing classes, prepared meals, pantry donations and most recently, crockpots with full-meal, non-perishable ingredients and recipes for easy preparation by the residents.

Peru Luz

The Outreach relationship with Peru Luz began shortly after a couple of parishioners took part in a mission trip to the location in Peru. Through monetary donations, we have helped with building a retaining wall to protect the school, teacher’s salaries, and money to have a Christmas party for the children and local families. The EYC will be taking a mission trip to Luz in 2026.

Northern Kentucky Strengthening Families

Part of the Consortium for Resilient Young Children, Trinity has participated in many of the programs offered including hosting Parent Cafes. Parent Cafes offer specific skills to parents who need additional support and guidance.

St. Paul’s Food Pantry

The Outreach Commission has been a long-time partner with St. Paul’s Food Pantry, providing both monetary and non-perishable item donations to keep the shelves stocked. During this past Lent, Trinity collected more than $1500 in change they had been saving as part of a program called “Be the church, be the change”.

Holmes High School

Our partnership with Holmes High School started with a mentoring program and has evolved into providing winter coats and snack meals for the students who come to school hungry and those who participate in sports and need additional nourishment.

CASA

Trinity has several parishioners who have trained to become Court Appointed Special Advocates. The Outreach Commission supports the efforts of this organization through its sponsorship of the CASA 5K which takes place each September. To learn more about becoming an advocate, click the logo.

Emergency Cold Shelter of NKY

Welcome House Northern Kentucky

Outreach has partnered with Welcome House for many years. Each year at Christmas, the Commission appropriates money for parishioners to purchase items from a provided Wish List for residents of Welcome House and deliver them so they can have a joyous holiday. In addition, for many years we have been a sponsor of the Mardis Gras for Children held each year at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, benefitting Welcome House, Brighton Center, and Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky.
