May 3: Flying Pig Marathon Water Stop

Rise and Shine (Yes… Really): Flying Pig Marathon Volunteers Needed!

Once a year, thousands of runners, walkers, and wildly motivated humans pound the pavement of Cincinnati in the Flying Pig Marathon—and once again, Trinity Episcopal Church gets a front-row seat (and a water stop!) right outside our doors. We’re looking for cheerful, kind-hearted volunteers willing to do a small heroic thing at a very early hour: 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 3. Yes, that’s early. No, coffee alone does not count as volunteering—but it will help. Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

• Hand out water

• Cheer on runners like they’re Olympic medalists

• Represent Trinity with joy, encouragement, and hydration

When the last runner passes and the cups have served their purpose, volunteers are asked to bring a shovel or rake to help speed along clean-up. Many hands (and a few garden tools) make light—and faster—work. And because Trinity believes deeply in reward after labor: breakfast will be served immediately after clean-up is complete. Nothing tastes better than breakfast you’ve earned before most of the city wakes up.
