Chalking of the Doors: Jan. 5
Epiphany Chalk Blessing Kits Available
On Sunday, January 5, pick up your Chalking of the Door kits at Trinity! These kits include chalk and instructions to participate in this cherished Epiphany tradition, which blesses your home for the new year.
Historically, Epiphany has been a time when priests visit parishioners, including those who are homebound, hospitalized, or otherwise unable to attend church, as well as families and individuals, to bring blessings and share prayers for the new year. If you would like a home blessing or visit, please feel free to reach out to Rev. Jason Leo.
The kits provide everything you need to mark your door with the Epiphany blessing: 20 + C + M + B + 25, representing the year, the Magi (Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar), and the Latin phrase Christus Mansionem Benedicat (“May Christ bless this house”).
Begin the year by inviting God’s blessings into your home and celebrating this sacred season with your church family!
