Change Sunday: Mar. 9
Be the Church, Be the Change, Bring Your Change!
This Lent, our Outreach Commission invites us to do something different. Instead of giving something up, let's be the Church and be the change by collecting our loose change to support those in need in our local community.
Inspired by a conversation between Steve and Marsha DeWitt and Fr. Jason, this effort builds on our Diocesan mantra—meeting the needs of those we encounter daily. The coins we collect will help St. Paul’s Food Pantry in Newport, providing meals and support for the hungry.
We invite all ages to participate! During Lent, take time to intentionally gather coins—search your sofa cushions, coin jars, purses, or round up cash purchases to add to your collection.
On Sunday, March 9—Time Change Sunday—as we spring forward, let’s also bring the change! Our Outreach Collection Assistants will pass buckets during the Offertory to gather all that we've collected.
We’ll announce the total offering on Easter Sunday, celebrating how our small contributions can make a big impact!
