In Person Service and Soup Sunday Cancellation
Dear Friends,
I am canceling in-person worship and Soup Sunday to Go for this coming Sunday, November 8th. I do so for two reasons:
1. Kenton County is now in the red zone for covid-19 infections, with more than 25 infections per 100,000 people. This increases the likelihood of contracting the virus.
2. Given that the county is red, at his news conference on November 2nd, Governor Beshear shared guidelines that included asking residents to “reschedule, postpone or cancel public or private events,” and to “avoid non-essential activities outside your home.”
I know this decision will disappoint some, but if we follow the data and the science, we can reduce the amount of time it will take to bring this pandemic under control.
We will still have streaming worship from Trinity at 10 am on Sunday, and I hope you will join us. I have also included one of the soup recipes that the cooks would have made for Soup Sunday for you to make at home.
In Christ,
The Reverend Peter D. D’Angio, Rector
