Virtual Midday Musical Menu - Music of Christmas

This month’s concert on December 16 will feature Soprano Anna Mosoriak singing perennial Christmas favorites “O Holy Night” and “Gesu Bambino,” as well as four Christmas carols from the hymnal which you can sing along with at home. To round out the sung portion, Anna will sing English composer Herbert Howells’ solo Christmas song “Come Sing and Dance.” John Deaver will accompany on piano and organ and play two organ pieces, one a set a variations on the Polish Carol, “Infant Holy, Infant Lowly.” The other organ piece, three movements of J. S. Bach’s Canonic Variations on “From Heaven Above to Earth I Come” with be done in alternation with verses of the hymn.

The concert will be live streamed at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, and available afterwards on our website and YouTube channel. Anna Mosoriak is in her second year of master’s studies at the College-Conservatory of Music and has sung regularly on our Sunday morning live streams after serving as soprano section leader last season.
