Meet Meredith Menius

Meredith (she/they) is excited to join the staff and community of Trinity Episcopal Church in Covington as Director of Operations.

Meredith was previously Director of Operations at Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church (HPCUMC), where they led human resources and organizational operations, and worked alongside staff and church leadership to build healthy, sustainable policies and systems to support the church's mission. Prior to this role, Meredith served in other educational roles at HPCUMC and Ardmore United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem, NC, where she led ministry programs, supported staff and volunteer development, and helped create opportunities for people to connect across the life of the church.

Meredith holds a Master of Social Work from Indiana University and a Master of Divinity from Duke University. Together, these have shaped their holistic approach to leadership — connecting social work, advocacy, theology, and ministry, with a particular commitment to inclusive communities and to building sustainable systems within the local church.

Although Meredith's ministry background is in The United Methodist tradition, she has found herself increasingly drawn to the Episcopal Church. They appreciate the Episcopal tradition's combination of thoughtful theology, beautiful liturgy, a deep sense of welcome, and a commitment to living out faith through service and community. For Meredith, faith communities are at their best when they create safe and brave spaces for people to ask questions, build meaningful relationships, encounter God in community, and put their values into action.

Outside of work, Meredith loves exploring Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky with her boyfriend, Brandon, and their dog, June. They enjoy trying new restaurants, discovering new places around the city, watching women's sports, and cheering on all of the Cincinnati sports. Meredith is also a big Duke basketball fan, but please don't hold that against them during college basketball season.
