Midday Musical Menu on Wednesday!

The Midday Musical Menu luncheon concert on Wednesday, February 16 at 12:15 p.m. features an organ recital by students of the Organ Department of the College-Conservatory of Music. This year marks the eighth time the CCM organ students have performed on the series.  The performers will be Sohee Lee (artist diploma major), Hayden Glasgow (junior organ major), and John Depinet (freshman organ major).  Sohee will perform her own arrangements of jazz pieces by Oscar Peterson (Night Train and Georgia on My Mind).  Hayden will perform Prelude and Fugue in G minor by Johannes Brahms, and John will perform the Final from Louis Vierne’s Symphony No. 1 for organ.

             Sohee was born in South Korea and earned an undergraduate degree in environmental engineering in South Korea and a master’s degree in organ performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservataory of Music. Hayden is from Columbus, Ohio and is the organ scholar at Covenant-First Presbyterian Church.  John Depinet is from Norwalk, Ohio.  Come and give your encouragement to the next generation of organists!  (As always, the concert will be livestreamed and available later.)

Lunch is available in the May Room from 11:30 a.m. for $7.00.  Please wear a mask except when eating.
