MLK Day of Service: Jan. 15

Coretta Scott King said, “The greatest birthday gift my husband could receive is if people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds celebrated the holiday by performing individual acts of kindness through service to others.”

On Monday, Jan. 15, our adults and youth group will participate in the national MLK Day of Service by loving our neighbors.

I have set up a volunteer opportunity for our youth and families at the Freestore Foodbank Distribution Center from 9am-12pm on Monday, Jan. 15.

This is open to all of our EYC and their family/friends (up to 35 people). If you are interested in joining us, please register using the information HERE.

If you are not able to join us but would like to serve in another way, I encourage you to volunteer with Go Pantry sometime that day helping them put together meal bags or donating food items. For more information on volunteering with GO pantry, visit their website https://gopantry.org/volunteer/

However your family chooses to celebrate MLK Day, I hope you will consider including an act of service.

Blessings,

Shannon
