Mozart Mass: Jun. 4

On Trinity Sunday, June 4, the Trinity Choir will sing Mozart’s Mass in C Major (Organ Solo Mass), K. 259 with orchestra. The work is called the Organ Solo Mass because the organ has a more prominent role in the Benedictus movement for solo quartet. Michael Unger, Professor of Organ and Harpsichord at the College-Conservatory of Music, will be organist for the Mozart. The orchestra includes strings, trumpets, and timpani in addition to the organ. The solo quartet consists of soprano Anna Mosoriak, mezzo-soprano Matilda Smolij, tenor Jack K. Cox, and bass Mark Hockenberry.
