Midday Musical Menu: Sep. 18

A Midday Musical Menu luncheon concert series begins its 44th season this Wednesday (September 18) at 12:15 with Vox Cor Trio, a unique ensemble composed of piano, trumpet and trombone that explores classical vocal music, aiming to share emotional journeys and stories without lyrics.

The group was founded by Japanese pianist Mika Komuro in 2022 for her project “Without A Word,” and it had its debut in Cincinnati that same year.  Since then Vox Cor Trio has been invited to play at chamber music series such as “Arts in the Village” in Rehoboth, MA, “Music at Main” in Cleveland, OH and “Music Live” in Cincinnati.  Also, the trio was featured on Podcasts “Skill And Bones” hosted by Matthew Driscoll in 2024.

The program includes "Bess You Is My Woman" from Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin and "Glück, das mir verblieb" from Die tote Stadt by Erich Korngold.  Lunch is available for $7.00 in the May Room from 11:30 a.m.

The concert is free.
