Interim Rector Report: Sep. 13

Dear Trinity Church,

First of all, thank you to everyone who made the Red Door Rally such a wonderful success. There was a lot of excitement about ministry in and around the community, and I hope good connections were made between leaders and volunteers. The new Sunday worship schedule was well-attended, with Trinitarians at every service, and we had a wonderful representation from EYC at Evening Prayer.

I hope you all get the chance to meet Dr. Jonathan Carrol, who will be with us at Trinity for a good portion of the interim. Jonathan has quickly become a friend and will be working with Trinity during this transition to help explore the very best expressions of Christian community and leadership. His contact information is provided here (Please call or text 270.925.4922 or email jonathanericcarroll@icloud.com to arrange a meeting). I am looking forward to being with you., and I encourage you to reach out and connect with him. Jonathan will be a valuable resource as Trinity moves forward in the transition process. I will also be providing an update on the transition at the November 10th congregational meeting, when we will elect new vestry members and diocesan convention delegates. Information about the election can be found below.

I know many of you found new and renewed opportunities for ministry at the Red Door Rally. If you are still discerning where God is calling you to serve in the life of this community, please let me know. I would be glad to help in any way I can.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday. Please take a moment to watch the video included in this email from our Bishop. His call to the Diocese of Lexington to "show up" is both encouraging and compelling.

The Lord be with you,

Jason
