Confirmation Year
Confirmation Year, which now encompasses the 7th grade year, is an important and enriching spiritual journey for your child. It is an opportunity for them to deepen their faith, grow in their relationship with God, and become active members of our church community. I would like to take this opportunity to explain what Confirmation Year entails and how it can be a meaningful experience for your child.

What is Confirmation?
Confirmation is a sacred rite in the Episcopal Church where individuals reaffirm their baptismal vows and publicly declare their commitment to the Christian faith. It is a time for young members of our congregation to take ownership of their spiritual journey and embrace the teachings of Christ. During Confirmation Year, your child will participate in Confirmation classes in the spring, where they will explore their faith, ask questions, and engage in meaningful discussions.

The culmination of Confirmation Year is the Bishop's visit for Confirmation Sunday, which will take place on May 26. On this special day, your child will have the opportunity to be confirmed by the Bishop, surrounded by the love and support of our church community. It is a momentous occasion that marks a significant step in their faith journey.

Getting Started
To begin this important conversation with your child and express your interest in their participation in ConfirmationYear, please let me know. I am more than willing to meet with your student to discuss what Confirmation means and answer any questions they may have. We want this experience to be meaningful and spiritually enriching for each young member of our congregation.
