Youth Sunday May 17
Celebrating our youth and graduating seniors!
On Sunday, May 17 we will recognize our youth and graduating Seniors during our 10 a.m. worship service. This has been a trying time for our young people as they try to navigate online school, missing their friends and teachers, not having their spring sports, spring musicals or band concerts, end-of-the-year field trips and parties.
This spring has been especially difficult for our seniors who have missed out on several milestones that many of us cherish as fond memories from high school. But they are a resilient bunch who are still full of joy and fun!
Please join me in congratulating our seniors: Austin Hyder, Meredith Johnson, and Tori Wells.
Meredith will be heading off to Transylvania in Lexington where she has committed to being a member of the Track and Field team. She plans to study biology and is interested in becoming a dietician, surgeon, or doctor
Tori received a full scholarship to Murray State and was accepted into their Honors Program. She is interested in STEM, but hasn’t narrowed down her career path just yet;
Austin is a Presidential Scholar and recipient of the Thomas Lester Scholarship for Engineering at the University of Kentucky. He was accepted into the Lewis Honors College and will major in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Spanish.
