Midday Musical Menu: Nov. 20
The next luncheon concert will be on Wednesday (November 20) at 12:15 p.m. with soprano LeeAnn Kordenbrock and pianist Richard Redmon.
Lunch is available for $7.00 in the May Room from 11:30 a.m.
In honor of All Saints and All Souls at the beginning of November, LeeAnn has chosen music that holds special memories from life events we all encounter – faith, loss, peace in the afterlife. From the Gregorian Chant Anima Christi, and the macaronic Irish tune Deus Meus, Adiuva to Samuel Barber, Stephen Sondheim, and Gabriel Fauré will be in the mix. John Deaver will accompany Fauré’s Pie Jesu on the organ.
Educated and trained in music, LeeAnn has been singing professionally since her teens, both in ensembles and as soloist – in a variety of venues. From Coffee Houses to benefit shows for a non-profit, Veterans’ Day programs, several European tours with differing choir groups, and, through it all, her church choir position at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington. She currently serves as President of Cincinnati Camerata, which will sing their Christmas concert at Trinity on Saturday, December 14. Many years ago during a Tall Stacks luncheon concert she with her eventual husband Andrew Piaskowy and Peggy and Karl Lietzenmayer sang a program of the music of Stephen Foster.
The concert is free.
