Interim Rector Report: Nov. 8
Dear Trinity Church,
Elections have come and gone, and many of you have shared your varied responses with me. I see these diverse reactions as a sign of the radical hospitality that Trinity embraces and shares. While we may not always agree, we continue to love each other as best we can and are committed to walking together. As St. Paul wrote to the Galatians, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28).
Our work as an outpost of the Kingdom that Jesus proclaimed continues—sharing God’s unconditional love with the Covington community and beyond, proclaiming the good news as we walk with Christ and with one another. Moving forward together in faith, we are confident that, as it has been since the very beginning, our best days are yet to come.
In the midst of this season, we are preparing for a meaningful celebration on Christ the King Sunday, November 24. This special day invites us to honor Jesus as our King and Shepherd, recognize His reign in our lives, and renew our commitment to His kingdom of love and justice for one another and for all people.
I look forward to seeing each of you on Sunday.
The Lord be with you,
Jason
