Interim Rector Report: May 30

Dear Trinity Church,

This Sunday, following worship, a large and enthusiastic group from Trinity will walk in the annual Northern Kentucky Pride Parade. Trinity has a deep commitment to diversity and inclusion, and we believe this reflects God’s own embrace of all people. I can also tell you from experience—the Pride Parade is a lot of fun, filled with music, energy, food, and joy.

We’re also delighted to welcome The Reverend Canon Becca Kello as our guest preacher this Sunday. Canon Becca serves as the Canon Missioner for the Diocese of Lexington and has played a vital role in the Church’s response to disaster relief throughout our region. She is also a key leader in supporting renewal and vitality within our Diocese. I know we will give her a warm Trinity welcome.

And don’t forget to mark your calendar for Saturday, June 7, when Trinity will host a Thy Kingdom Come Day of Prayer from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. This global movement, initiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, invites us to pray for the spread of the Gospel—and for whatever else is on our hearts. The church will be open for prayer throughout the day, and there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board if you’d like to commit to a time.

I was reminded recently by someone I was sharing a few concerns with that "The most we can do is pray."

The Lord be with you,
Fr. Jason Leo
